Description: It
is, in number of members, the second largest cooperative in CSF. It
brings together more than 2,300 small coffee growers from the
northwestern part of the country. It produces more than 40,000 cwt of
café oro, of which approximately one half is certified organic. They
have good participation in the Fairtrade market, and export a large
part of their coffee to the USA. They participate in the specialty
market. They produce very good quality coffee, and this has led them to
win the quality competition known as the “Cup of Excellence” on several
occasions. They have diversified very little and have scant
participation in the domestic market.
