Description: Cooperativa Norte Grande is made up of small honey producers. This cooperative was established in 2001, and after some intermediate steps, began to operate actively in 2005.

Today it has 7,000 hives, which produce 140 tons of honey per year, and brings together more then 100 associated beekeepers. In 2007, the cooperative was certified by FLO, which qualifies it to sell on the fair market, exporting its first container, which will be marketed by CONAPI in Italy, with the legend: “Honey produced in the Argentine Norte Grande”; this will also leave the door open for other groups in the region.

The cooperative has its headquarters in Salta, in the North of Argentina.
